A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of watching the anime adaptation of Steins;Gate (I still don’t understand the semi-colon’s purpose but it seems a running theme in the visual novel series.) If you haven’t watched it I highly recommend that you do. There’s a good reason why you’ll often find it in the top ten lists which is where it caught my attention when browsing through sites like Anime News Network and MyAnimeList. Having watched it myself, along with the OVA and movie sequel, I’ll definitely throw it somewhere into my top five anime. It’s well produced, entertaining and one of the more original stories when it comes to time travel, a science fiction genre which is fairly hard to do well I’ve found. So yes, go watch it now since I’ll be delving into spoilers for the entire thing.
